"Tainan-white" (TNW), an open-pollinated population, is the major table-use fresh maize variety in Taiwan. 摘要臺南白玉米族群為臺灣地區(qū)鮮食用之主要的地方品種，屬天然授粉族群。
The results indicated that the temperature of different areas maybe a main factor for the differentiation of the TNW maize populations. 影響其分化的主要因子可能為溫度梯度造成。
Most of F1 hybrids among exotic inbred lines produced higher yield than that TNW for ear fresh weight and grain dry weight in the fall and winter crop seasons. 但在春作、秋作及冬里作環(huán)境下，大部份F1雜種其乳熟期之鮮果穗重及生理成熟期之果穗乾重及籽粒乾重均較對照種高產，特別是秋作及冬季里作更為突出。
