基本解釋

focus用作名詞時(shí)原始意義是“火爐”,引申為“焦點(diǎn)”,轉(zhuǎn)化為動(dòng)詞則為“(使)聚焦”,“(使)集中”。即“調(diào)整…的焦點(diǎn)或焦距以便看清”,引申則表示“使(注意力等)集中于某物”。
focus用作及物動(dòng)詞時(shí),可以接望遠(yuǎn)鏡、焦點(diǎn)等作賓語(yǔ),也可以接陽(yáng)光等作賓語(yǔ),還可以接目光等作賓語(yǔ)。focus用于比喻作“致力于”解時(shí),則可以接mind, attention等作賓語(yǔ)。
focus也用作不及物動(dòng)詞,這時(shí)常和介詞on連用,表示“聚焦于…”“致力于…”等。
