- decide的基本意思是“決定”,指一人或多人對某一事實(shí)、行動(dòng)、方針引起懷疑、動(dòng)搖、爭議,經(jīng)過比較、思考、商議或研究後拿定主意,作出選擇或判斷,決定是與非、取與捨,含有不再疑惑、躊躇或爭執(zhí)的意味。引申可表示“肯定”“斷定”。
- decide用作不及物動(dòng)詞時(shí),通常跟介詞about或on〔upon〕。跟on〔upon〕連用時(shí)表示“就重大事情作出決定”或在多種情況〔事物〕中“作出選擇”; 與about連用時(shí)表示“就一般事情作出決定”。
- decide用作及物動(dòng)詞表示“決定”“決心”時(shí),可接名詞、代詞、動(dòng)詞不定式、帶疑問詞的動(dòng)詞不定式或虛擬的名詞從句作賓語。decide不可以直接跟動(dòng)名詞,但decide on可以接動(dòng)名詞短語。
