Results: ①Significant positive correlation was revealed between MMP-9 expression and lymph node metastasis in supraglottic carcinoma (r=0.553, P=0.011), and no correlation in glottic carcinoma (r=0.219, P=0.382); and significant positive correlation was revealed between VEGF expression and lymph node metastasis in supraglottic carcinoma (r=0.362, P=0.018), and no correlation in glottic carcinoma (r=0.189, P=0.453). ②The expression of MMP-9 was positively correlated with VEGF (r=0.775, P=0.000), the expressions of MMP-9 and VEGF were positively correlated with clinical staging of laryngeal carcinoma and the neck lymph node metastasis (r=0.468, P=0.003; r=0.402, P=0.012).
