常用用法
- score的基本意思是“二十”,由古代牧羊人清點羊數(shù)時從手指數(shù)到腳趾,每數(shù)到二十在樹上劃一個記號得來,因此引申可指“劃痕,刻痕”“得分,分?jǐn)?shù)”等。
- score還可作“欠賬; 宿怨; 樂曲,配樂; 真相”等解。
- score作“二十”解時,有兩個複數(shù)形式,即score或scores; scores of後接可數(shù)名詞的複數(shù)形式,表示數(shù)量之多,而不表示具躰的數(shù)目。
- score用作名詞的意思是“(比賽一方得的)分?jǐn)?shù)”,轉(zhuǎn)化爲(wèi)動詞則爲(wèi)“得分”。
