thank和thanks的用法區(qū)別

1. 在現(xiàn)代英語中，thank用作名詞表示“感謝”時，只用復(fù)數(shù)形式，不用單數(shù)形式。如：

Thanks for listening. 謝謝收聽。

We expressed our thanks.我們表達(dá)了自己的謝意。

My wife also asks to join her greeting and thanks. 我妻子也要我順致她的問候和感謝。

若要加語氣，名詞thanks有時可用many, a thousand等修飾。如：

A thousand thanks for your invitation. 非常感謝你的邀請。

Many thanks for your letter of 17 March. 非常感謝您3月17日的來信。

注：漢語中說“多謝”，英語可說成Thanks. / Many thanks. / Thanks a lot. / Thanks very much. 等。但是，根據(jù)英語習(xí)慣，我們可以說Thanks a lot，卻不能說：Thank you a lot.

2. 比較以下thank用作動詞的用法：

Each of them phoned to thank me. 他們每個人都打電話來向我道謝。

No more tea, thank you, I've had my fill. 謝謝你，不要再添茶了，我已經(jīng)喝足了。

There's no need to thank me—I was only doing my job. 不用謝——這是我應(yīng)做的工作。
